- STAY CALM; do not try to transfer the call.
- ASK THE CALLER the following questions:
- When will the bomb explode?
- Where is the bomb located?
- Can you describe the bomb?
- Why was the bomb placed?
- What is your name?
- What is your phone number?
- PAY ATTENTION to the caller's voice for identification purposes (male, female, age, accent).
- LISTEN for background noises, which might indicate the location of the caller.
- WRITE DOWN the time of the call and the exact message.
- REPORT THE CALL to the police at 911 and to the Building Security Desk at 415-764-1687.
- Perform a visual check of the area around your workspace. DO NOT touch or disturb any suspicious items.
- Notify staff emergency coordinator of any suspicious items.
